I'm the one on the right.
Snoddy (It's Sno"ddy" not "tty.") is a Scottish name with an interesting history. Fergus served with Bruce and Wallace. He was taken prisoner and escaped during a snowstorm. To avoid recognition, he called himself "Snowday" in honor of his escape. "w" and "y" were not yet in the alphabet so it was "Snoda" which soon became "Snode" and later into Snody and Snoddy. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer, he changed his name back to Fergus sometime after Bannockburn. Sure enough, some 300 years later, Charles I declared that all Protestants should be killed. Fergus was again captured and sentenced to die the "day after tomorrow." He again escaped during a severe snow storm. This time, he fled to Ireland and again in memory of the day he escaped, he called himself in broad Scot - "Snow Day", which we have made "Snoddy" meaning "a snow day." He didn’t change it back this time.
Orv......I have a friend that attended a fund raiser for that Mike Beebe last night...Any words of wisdom or am I opening up a can of worms for you and Virg?
I'll let my friend know that there may be a blessing from Virg and I'm sure that will help her sleep better at night! However, not to worry about any fund raising promoting here; she comes from a "tightass" Republican background and that's just not her style!
